Angela Cottrell guides clients through complex mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, financing transactions, and global expansion initiatives. Angela brings a practical, business-oriented approach when providing corporate and finance counsel to a wide range of clients including life sciences companies, nonprofit health care systems, academic medical centers and universities, public companies, and emerging companies. With over 20 years’ experience advising clients in highly regulated industries, she adeptly navigates her clients through challenging regulatory issues that arise in the course of transactions.
Before joining the firm, Angela was a partner in the Raleigh, North Carolina office of an international law firm serving as a member of the M&A and Corporation Transactions practice group and the Life Sciences Industry team.
Prior to launching her legal career, Angela worked as a commercial lender.
Angela was recognized in The Best Lawyers in America® for Corporate Governance Law, Corporate Law, and Mergers & Acquisitions Law in 2021.
