Established in 1989, Kilpatrick Townsend’s Seattle office is home to attorneys and legal professionals practicing in complex commercial litigation, intellectual property, and Native American law, serving clients throughout the U.S. and beyond. Washington state features a unique combination of established technology businesses, startups, universities, and research institutions, and is home to 29 federally-recognized Indian tribal governments. Many of our Seattle-based attorneys leverage their extensive market knowledge and close ties with Washington-based businesses, think-tanks, technology incubators, educational and research institutions, and tribal governments to help achieve client goals.
Our complex commercial litigation attorneys have experience in complex business disputes, class actions, health care litigation, and antitrust and trade litigation in federal and state courts and before federal, state, and local administrative agencies. Our intellectual property attorneys come uniquely qualified in all aspects of intellectual property planning, prosecution, and litigation — leveraging their technical and legal experience to advance our clients’ success in today’s fast-paced, highly-competitive environment. We provide our clients with practical, innovative solutions in the technology and software, retail and consumer goods, aviation, life sciences, health care, medical device, pharmaceutical, and entertainment industries, among others. We also have a team of attorneys recognized by U.S. News – Best Lawyers in Native American law, who provide comprehensive services to Indian tribal governments, tribal businesses, and tribal organizations, including litigation, financing, and government relations.
We take a hands-on approach to participating in local organizations that foster the development of businesses and legal professionals in the state of Washington. We are actively involved in organizations, such as Life Science Washington and the Washington Software Alliance, and we serve on the executive committee for the Center for Indian Law & Policy Executive Council at the Seattle University School of Law. Moreover, we devote significant resources to pro bono work through our local and state bar associations, including our recent participation in the King County Bar Association Housing Justice Project, a homelessness prevention program that provides free legal assistance to low-income tenants facing eviction.
