'Opportunity Zones' gaining steam in the Triangle. Here's where they are.

“Clients have been asking about how they might be able to utilize the opportunity zone program,” says John Livingston, a Raleigh-based partner at the law firm of Kilpatrick Townsend. Though declining to give specifics on where exactly his clients are targeting for those investments, he says all three major cities in the Triangle are home to QOZs.
“I think that it is generally safe to say that opportunities in more urban areas that adjoin areas with strong commercial development (or redevelopment) are going to be areas of particular focus,” Livingston says. “In more rural areas, the potential is more with respect to industries that do not require proximity to other developments.”
