Kilpatrick Townsend’s Alicia Grahn Jones Sworn In As President of the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers
ATLANTA (May 4) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that Partner Alicia Grahn Jones was recently sworn in as the President of the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers (GAWL) for 2016 – 2017. Ms. Jones previously served as President-Elect of GAWL for 2015 – 2016. She has served on the Board of Directors for GAWL since 2009 and was the recipient of the GAWL’s 2014 Visionary Award.
Founded in 1928, GAWL proudly serves the diverse interests of women lawyers around Georgia. GAWL has been pioneering for women lawyers for 80 years, staying true to its mission to enhance the welfare and development of women lawyers and to support their interests. GAWL plays a key role in the advancement of women lawyers' interests throughout the state. GAWL has a strong, bipartisan voice on issues such as judicial nomination process, legislative affairs, work-life balance issues, and on the education, training, and sponsorship of women lawyers to take their rightful place as leaders in the state of Georgia.

Ms. Jones concentrates her practice in the areas of trademark clearance, prosecution, and litigation. She has substantial experience representing clients before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board in opposition and cancellation proceedings and in federal district courts in trademark infringement matters. Ms. Jones also helps clients determine the availability of trademarks, develop and implement appropriate trademark registration programs, monitor and enforce trademark rights, and manage trademark disputes throughout the world.
