Kilpatrick Townsend Adds Counsel Ruthleen Uy to Software and Electrical Engineering Team in San Diego
SAN DIEGO (May 27) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today the addition of Ruthleen Uy to the firm’s Software and Electrical Engineering Team in the internationally recognized Intellectual Property Department. Ms. Uy joins as Counsel and will be resident in the firm’s San Diego office.

Ms. Uy’s practice includes preparing and prosecuting applications relating to the computer, mechanical, and electrical arts in a variety of technologies including computer hardware, computer architecture, telecommunications, mobile communications, voice processing, medical imaging, networks, memory management, data compression, data encryption/decryption, and data storage. Ms. Uy also has prosecuted patent applications before the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. She joins the firm from Sughrue Mion in San Diego where she was a partner.
Ms. Uy earned a J.D. from DePaul University College of Law and received her B.S. in Computer Science from Loyola University of Chicago. She is the immediate past co-president of Pan Asian Lawyers of San Diego and is an active member of Lawyers Club of San Diego.
