Zara Doddridge focuses her practice on patent prosecution and counseling in the fields of chemistry and life sciences primarily in domestic and foreign biomedical and biochemical patent prosecution. Dr. Doddridge is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Dr. Doddridge worked with the firm in 2015 as a summer associate where she drafted patent prosecution amendments and responses to USPTO office actions. Previously, Dr. Doddridge worked as a senior patent agent at Thermo Fisher Scientific in its Carlsbad, California office and in the Savannah, Georgia office of a national intellectual property boutique law firm. She also worked as a patent agent for an intellectual property boutique law firm located in Portland, Oregon and at her present law firm in Atlanta, Georgia.

Dr. Doddridge’s scientific experience includes research fellowships in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Nottingham in Nottingham, United Kingdom and in the Department of Biochemistry at Emory School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia.

Dr. Doddridge was recognized as a Northern California “Rising Star” in 2018 for Intellectual Property by Super Lawyers magazine.

Dr. Doddridge is conversational in Spanish.
