Insights: News Releases Kilpatrick Townsend’s John Jett a 2017 Client Choice Award Recipient
ATLANTA (February 9) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that John Jett has been named the exclusive winner of the 2017 Client Choice Award for the state of Georgia in the area of Litigation. Established in 2005, the Client Choice awards recognize partners around the world that stand apart for the excellent client care they provide and the quality of their service.
The Annual Client Choice Awards are the result of an extensive readership survey of in-house counsel subscribers to International Law Office and Lexology. Clients are asked to rate individual lawyers and law firms on the following client service criteria: quality of legal advice, commercial awareness, industry knowledge, strategic thinking, billing transparency, tailored fee structures, value for money, responsiveness, effective communication, clarity of documentation, sharing of expertise, appropriate staffing, project management, use of technology, loyalty, and ethics. The results of this survey are used to draw up shortlists for each work area. Shortlisted candidates are then invited to submit up to five referees. The research team conducts follow-up interviews and additional research where necessary. While based on thorough and coherent research, the results remain the subjective views of the Client Choice team. This year, Client Choice recognized 403 winners across 66 jurisdictions worldwide, including 187 winner across 32 U.S. states and four Canadian provinces.
Mr. Jett focuses his practice on a diverse range of commercial and intellectual property litigation. He represents individuals and companies, as both plaintiffs and defendants, in disputes before state and federal courts as well as in arbitration. Mr. Jett primarily represents intellectual property owners operating in the retail, franchising, technology, and entertainment industries. Representative clients include AT&T, Aaron’s, Fidelity Information Systems, Global Cellular, Morehouse University, NewPoint Media, the Estate of Martin Luther King, Jr., Gladys Knight, and ThinkFactory Productions. While representing plaintiffs, he has recovered millions of dollars on behalf of deserving businesses and individuals.
