ATLANTA (December 5, 2016) -- Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton proudly announces that it has received a perfect score of 100 percent on the 2017 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBT workplace equality, administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. Kilpatrick Townsend joins the ranks of 517 major U.S. businesses which also earned top marks this year.
“To once again achieve a perfect score on the Corporate Equality Index is a meaningful recognition for one of Kilpatrick Townsend’s longstanding core values – a resolute commitment to diversity,” said Henry Walker, Kilpatrick Townsend Chair. “Supporting an inclusive workplace not only attracts and retains top-tier talent but also enhances the quality of service we provide to our clients, our communities, and to each other. We are honored to be among the nation’s elite law firms, businesses and corporate entities who share our same commitment.”
The 2017 CEI rated 1,043 businesses in the report, which evaluates LGBT-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBT community. Kilpatrick Townsend’s efforts in satisfying all of the CEI’s criteria results in a 100 percent ranking and the designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality.
