Roger Wylie focuses his practice on patent prosecution and counseling. He advises start-up and established corporations, venture investors and other intellectual property stakeholders with regard to all aspects of patent prosecution and acquisition, counseling, licensing and litigation. He also counsels clients on a wide range of trademark, copyright, trade secret and other IP-related issues. His clients include companies developing and commercializing a broad range of technologies.

As a registered patent attorney, Mr. Wylie has counseled clients in a variety of mechanical fields, including consumer goods, complex machinery, medical devices and sporting goods. His work also involves the electronic and software controllers for such devices, and new fabrication methods for and uses of polymers and other materials.

In addition to his work in mechanical fields, Mr. Wylie counsels software and Internet business method clients. He has negotiated the sale of software and business method patents he has procured or managed, and many of the patents he has drafted and prosecuted for clients have been successfully litigated and enforced.

Mr. Wylie has been named by Washington Super Lawyers for Intellectual Property every year since 2008.
