Ian Saffer currently serves as the Managing Partner of the firm's Denver office, and focuses his practice on trademark and copyright litigation and counseling. Mr. Saffer handles worldwide trademark and copyright acquisition, clearance, registration and licensing matters, including domain name acquisition and disputes. He has first-chaired more than a dozen trials and regularly appears in federal and state courts and in various alternative dispute resolution forums. He also advises large and small businesses on a wide variety of other intellectual property-related issues, including rights of publicity, Internet-related matters, and patent litigation. He also has been retained as a mediator and as an expert witness in copyright and trademark matters. Mr. Saffer advises clients in a variety of industries, including media and entertainment, electronics, manufacturing, software, medical devices, resorts and financial services.
Mr. Saffer was named by 5280 Magazine and Colorado Super Lawyers Magazine as one of Colorado's "Super Lawyers" for 2006-2013. He was recommended by Legal 500 US in the area of Trademark Litigation. Mr. Saffer was recognized as "Attorney of the Year" in 2004-2005 by Colorado Lawyers for the Arts. He was also recognized on Denver Business Journal's "Forty under 40" list of young business leaders in 2004. He is AV® rated by Martindale-Hubbell.
