Dr. Jean Lockyer focuses her practice in the area of biotechnology and chemistry. Dr. Lockyer has prepared and prosecuted U.S. and foreign patent applications for a wide variety of academic and industrial clients in technical fields that include molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology and antibody therapeutics, plant biology, molecular diagnostics, agriculture, and biofuel technology.

Before joining the firm, Dr. Lockyer was on the faculty of Tulane University Medical School, New Orleans, Louisiana, where she directed a research laboratory that focused on molecular genetics and muscle differentiation and participated in graduate student and medical student education.

Dr. Lockyer was a postdoctoral fellow at Baylor College of Medicine and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute prior to becoming a faculty member at Tulane University Medical School.
