John Livingston focuses his practice on sustainable development, including mixed-use projects, LEED certified projects, and renewable energy contracting. Mr. Livingston has experience representing developers in all aspects of commercial real estate development, investment and leasing. Mr. Livingston was named a 2010 North Carolina "Rising Star" in Real Estate law by SuperLawyers magazine. He is also among the first attorneys in Raleigh to be designated a LEED Accredited Professional.

While in law school, Mr. Livingston was named a Chancellor Scholar and Dameron Law Scholar. He was a staff member and symposium editor for the North Carolina Law Review.
