Chris Henel advises and assists government contractors regarding a wide array of issues including front-end compliance questions and reviews, proposal preparation, bid protests, claims, disputes, and appeals. He works with contractors across several industries, including construction, infrastructure, aerospace and defense, health care, and information technology.

Chris’ regulatory compliance experience includes advising government contractors on how to comply with various contractual obligations, federal laws, regulations, policies, and standards that govern their relationship with Federal, state and local governments. He counsels clients on ethics, small business issues, socioeconomic regulations, and labor and employment matters as the affect government contractors. He has substantial experience in the area of cybersecurity and cyber-compliance issues, helping government contractors develop compliant security plans for various applications on networks and in the cloud.

Chris’ litigation experience includes representing government contractors in federal and state courts, alternative dispute resolution, bid protests, procurement-related disputes, Contract Disputes Act claims, Civil False Claims Act claims, and suspension and debarment proceedings.

Chris is listed in the 2014, 2015 and 2017 editions of Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business in the area of Construction. He was recognized in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 as a Washington D.C. “Rising Star” for Government Contracts by Super Lawyers magazine.
