Bryan Foster focuses his practice on intellectual property matters with a particular emphasis in the areas of software, electronics, and computer technologies. His practice includes patent litigation in numerous jurisdictions, post-grant review proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), and strategic patent prosecution before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Mr. Foster provides effective, cost-effective solutions for his clients including litigation, Inter Partes Review (IPR), Covered Business Method (CBM) Review, and Post Grant Review (PGR).

Mr. Foster represents companies that specialize in electronics and software such as handheld device manufacturers, network providers, and developers of web-based applications and database technologies. He has represented these companies as defendants in patent litigations as well as before the patent office in post-grant proceedings. Mr. Foster has also helped clients develop patent portfolios by effectively prosecuting patent applications before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Foster owned a consulting firm. He has experience designing and managing websites, web-based applications, and databases, among other technologies. Mr. Foster was an Editorial Board Member of the Virginia Journal of Law and Technology and, in 2012, received the North Carolina Bar Association's Intellectual Property Law Section's Individual Pro Bono Award.
