Jennifer Rasile Everitt focuses her practice on all aspects of employment and labor law. She represents management in employment discrimination and wage and hour lawsuits arising under federal and state laws. Ms. Everitt also defends employers against administrative complaints made to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and state employment agencies. She regularly advises employers across the country on complex employee relations issues and compliance with state and federal employment laws, including Title VII, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and similar state anti-discrimination laws. Ms. Everitt drafts employee handbooks, employment agreements, severance agreements, non-competition agreements, non-solicitation agreements and confidentiality agreements. Ms. Everitt also conducts training seminars for management and employees on proper workplace conduct and compliance with employment and labor laws.
Ms. Everitt also has extensive experience representing corporate policyholders in insurance coverage matters. She has represented corporate policyholders in connection with civil actions and arbitration involving a wide range of commercial insurance and reinsurance issues, including bodily injury liabilities, environmental liabilities, directors and officers and fiduciary liabilities, and catastrophic property loss.
