Patrick Carew focuses his practice on all aspects of complex commercial and products liability litigation in state and federal trial and appellate courts. His experience includes commercial business disputes, fiduciary and lender liability,; partnership issues and office share agreements, product liability, real estate and mineral interests disputes, and construction litigation. Mr. Carew is a trusted advisor with a proven record of execution and sound judgment, delivering positive business outcomes while consistently earning confidence from stakeholders. His armed services background provides a foundation to quickly adapt to shifting circumstances to make timely, strategic and tactical decisions in complex and evolving disputes. Mr. Carew is an effective leader accustomed to diverse teams and working directly with C-level executives to provide a broad and deep understanding of critical issues to resolve disputes and efficiently promote a client’s business interests.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Carew was a partner at Crouch & Ramey, a litigation law firm based in Dallas, Texas, where he practiced commercial and complex business, product liability, trust, and construction litigation. His trial role in the $80 million jury verdict in favor of a state pension fund was recognized as the largest counterclaim verdict nationally of 2010. He also was a member of the trial team in the highly publicized trial, NAACP v. AA Arms, Inc., et al., that resulted in a defense verdict and unanimous (12-0) advisory jury verdict of no liability for his client. The National Law Journal recognized the defense win as one of the top 10 defense verdicts of 2003. He recently represented a physician in a commercial office dispute resulting in take-nothing verdict for the plaintiff and a money verdict plus recovery of attorney’s fees for his client on the counterclaim.

Mr. Carew has authored or co-authored legal articles related to emerging litigation trends and product liability. He is a member of the Texas and Dallas Bar Associations and was named “2006 Outstanding New Pro Bono Lawyer” by the Dallas Bar Association – Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program.

Before law school, Mr. Carew was a financial analyst for a major aerospace corporation where he performed subcontract cost analysis, material cost estimating, and defense contract auditing. As a financial analyst for a national restaurant company, he built rate-of-return models for forecasting new restaurant construction and development costs. Mr. Carew also served as a non-commissioned officer in the U.S. Army and is a decorated veteran of the Panama Invasion and first Iraq war.

Mr. Carew was recognized as a Texas "Rising Star" in 2011 by Texas Monthly and Law & Politics magazines.
