Steve Moore focuses his practice on patent infringement litigation. He has represented both patent owners and companies accused of infringement in cases involving a variety of industries, including wireless communications devices and systems, cable television, computer software, Internet systems, electrical and mechanical systems, medical products, textiles, chemical and metallurgical products, and pulp and paper. Mr. Moore also has substantial experience in other areas of commercial litigation.
Mr. Moore has significant courtroom experience in patent cases. He has acted as defense counsel in a three-week jury trial in which the jury found plaintiff's patents invalid and not infringed. He has argued on behalf of a client before the Federal Circuit, resulting in affirmance of judgment of non-infringement. Mr. Moore also argued and examined witnesses in numerous Markman hearings after which courts issued favorable claim construction rulings for his clients.
Mr. Moore was recognized as a Georgia "Rising Star" in Intellectual Property Litigation and Business Litigation in 2009 and in Intellectual Property Litigation in 2010 and 2011 by SuperLawyers magazine. He is listed in the 2009, 2010 and 2011 editions of Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business for Intellectual Property Law. He is proficient in French and also speaks basic German.
