WASHINGTON, DC (November 22) -- Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that attorney Akarsh Belagodu was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of the South Asian Bar Association of Washington, DC (SABA-DC). He will also serve as co-chair of the SABA-DC Intellectual Property section.

SABA-DC is a voluntary bar association dedicated to the needs, concerns, and interests of the South Asian American legal community in the Washington, DC Metro area. It supports the professional development and advancement of members through networking, educational events, mentoring, and advocacy.

Mr. Belagodu focuses his practice on patent litigation, preparation and prosecution involving a variety of technologies including computer architecture, microelectronics, telecommunications, integrated circuits, semiconductors, software applications and mechanical devices. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Belagodu was an associate at an Atlanta IP boutique firm where he gained significant patent prosecution experience. During law school, Mr. Belagodu received a certificate in Intellectual Property and was a member of the trial advocacy team.
