WASHINGTON, DC (August 2)Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that partner Mark Stember will be speaking at the Employers Council on Flexible Compensation (ECFC) Annual Administrators’ Symposium.  The ECFC Annual Administrators’ Symposium will be held in Minneapolis, Minnesota on August 3-5, 2016. 

Mr. Stember will speak on the "Legal Rules for Modern Wellness Programs” session which will  discuss the legal rules under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act of 2008 (GINA) affecting wellness programs. As a member of the ECFC Technical Advisory Committee, Mr. Stember will also speak on the recently released Health and Human Services nondiscrimination final regulations under the Affordable Care Act.

The ECFC is a non-profit organization dedicated to the maintenance and expansion of private employer benefit programs on a tax-advantaged basis. The ECFC Annual Administrators’ Symposium is a networking and professional development event for employers, plan sponsors, third-party administrators and other service providers in the consumer-directed benefits industry. Mr. Stember concentrates his practice on counseling clients on the tax and related aspects of health and welfare benefits, flexible compensation, fringe benefits, executive compensation, and qualified retirement plans. He has counseled both private and public clients regarding health and welfare plans, cafeteria plans, fringe benefit plans, such as adoption assistance and tuition reimbursement, nonqualified deferred compensation plans, executive split dollar life insurance plans and section 401(k) and pension plans.
