Individuals selected are not only shepherding their own organizations, but have an indelible impact on the Triad region. This year’s list includes 94 individuals who are not only motivating individuals by their actions and generosity, but are also getting results.

Mr. Berlin, Managing Partner of Kilpatrick Townsend’s Winston-Salem office, was recognized for the sixth consecutive year for running the firm’s largest office in the state of North Carolina and for being deeply involved civically. Among his community roles, he is board Chair of the Arts Council of Winston-Salem, is the immediate past chair of Winston-Salem Business Inc., and is among the trustees for UNC School of the Arts.

This is the tenth consecutive year that Mr. Calkins, co-chair of Kilpatrick Townsend’s Chemistry and Life Sciences practice, has received this prestigious distinction. He was recognized for leveraging his expertise of the biotech industry and intellectual property as co-chair of the Piedmont Angel Network (PAN). In recent years, PAN has invested more than $14 million into emerging technology companies both inside and outside the Triad area.
