ATLANTA (January 8) -- Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that partner and co-chair of its Healthcare, Life Sciences and Technology practice, Sidney Welch, will serve as a panelist at the 32nd Annual National CLE Conference hosted by the Law Education Institute (LEI) in Vail, Colorado on January 7-11, 2015.

Ms. Welch counsels healthcare, life sciences, and healthcare technology clients in transactional, regulatory, administrative law, and litigation matters on a national basis.  She assists clients in structuring transactions and responding to compliance issues associated with federal and state healthcare laws and regulations; the federal Anti-Kickback Statute; Stark I, II & III; the False Claims Act; HIPAA; Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, voluntary disclosures, and repayments; antitrust laws; and state self-referral, fee splitting, certificate of need, and the corporate practice of medicine laws.

In administrative matters, Ms. Welch works with clients on medical staff bylaws; medical staff hearing and disciplinary matters; credentialing; Medicare and Medicaid investigations, audits and appeals; medical licensure issues; and disputes with and among insurance companies, physicians, and hospitals.
