ATLANTA (February 11) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that Partner Jon Neiditz will be a featured speaker at the Institution of Continuing Legal Education in Georgia’s Advanced Topics in Franchising and Distribution Seminar. The seminar is co-sponsored by the State Bar of Georgia Franchise and Distribution Law Section, and will be held Wednesday, February 19 at the State Bar of Georgia Headquarters.

Mr. Neiditz will join Jason Adler, Vice President and General Counsel of Cellairis, in presenting “Critical Privacy and Information Security Loss Prevention for the Franchisor and Large Franchisee.” The session will cover the FTC’s new message of franchisor accountability and related challenges to FTC authority; how to protect yourself against security-related fraud cost transfers and fines, particularly in light of the new vulnerability of point-of-sale systems; and how to deal with privacy at the store level.

Mr. Neiditz leads the Big Data, Privacy and Information Security practice at Kilpatrick Townsend, a firm that has become one of the leading information law firms in the world. Previously, he has led information management practices at other major law and consulting firms, and served as an in-house general counsel and a special advisor to reform initiatives.
