WASHINGTON, DC (November 20) -- Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that Benjamin Snowden has been named Chair of the newly formed Standing Committee on Sustainability and Product Stewardship of the D.C. Bar Association's Environment, Energy and Natural Resources Section. Mr. Snowden spearheaded the creation of the committee, and will serve as its first chair.

The goal of the Standing Committee on Sustainability and Product Stewardship is to provide programming that explores developments in sustainability in the public and private sphere and their relationship to both environmental law and other fields of practice.  Potential topics for programming in the upcoming year include supply chain regulation and management, private environmental governance, and emerging regulatory frameworks for energy efficiency.

Mr. Snowden focuses his practice on environmental litigation and environmental regulatory counseling. He represents clients in regulatory and enforcement matters under a variety of state and federal regulatory programs, with particular emphasis on the Clean Air Act. His litigation practice includes permit challenges, cost-recovery and natural resource damages actions, tort and products liability cases, and citizen suits.
