CHARLOTTE (September 18) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today the addition of Christopher Towery to the firm’s Charlotte office. Mr. Towery joins the firm as an associate on the Capital Markets Team in the Corporate, Finance and Real Estate Department.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Towery worked as an associate at Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice, LLP. He focuses his practice on transactions and litigation related to commercial mortgage-backed securities. Mr. Towery represents financial institutions and special servicers in workouts, foreclosures, and the appointment of receivers. He has experience representing creditors and purchasers in a wide variety of bankruptcy matters.

Mr. Towery earned his J.D. from the University of Richmond, T.C. Williams School of Law, magna cum laude, where he served as Articles Editor of the University of Richmond Law Review. He earned his B.A. in Philosophy with a concentration in Latin American Studies from Furman University, cum laude.
