ATLANTA (April 22) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton was recently recognized by American Lawyer in its prestigious 2013 Corporate Scorecard. The Firm was listed twice as counsel in the nation’s “Top 10 Bankruptcy Emergences for 2012.” Todd Meyers, Chair of Kilpatrick Townsend’s Bankruptcy & Financial Restructuring team, served as lead counsel on both cases. Kilpatrick Townsend was listed for the following cases:

  • In the case of R&G Financial Corporation, which was filed in the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Puerto Rico, Kilpatrick Townsend represented Wilmington Trust, as indenture trustee for approximately $385 million in unsecured debt securities.
  • In the case of BankUnited Financial Corporation, which was filed in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida, Kilpatrick Townsend represented the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors. The Committee represented the interests of holders of more than $500 million in unsecured debt.
