ATLANTA (June 8) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that the firm received three awards during the State Bar of Georgia Annual Meeting, which was held in Savannah, Georgia on Thursday, May 31 through Sunday, June 3.

Kilpatrick Townsend Pro Bono Partner Debbie Segal was a 2012 recipient of the H. Sol Clark Pro Bono Award. The Bar’s prestigious H. Sol Clark Award is named for former Georgia Court of Appeal’s Judge Clark of Savannah, who is known as the “father of legal aid in Georgia.” The Clark Award honors an individual lawyer who has excelled in one or more of a variety of activities that extend legal services to the poor. Ms. Segal was recognized for her professionalism and commitment to, and support for, the delivery of pro bono civil legal services to the poor and underserved in Georgia.

Kilpatrick Townsend was awarded the 2012 A Business Commitment Pro Bono Award. The A Business Commitment Pro Bono Business Law Award honors the business law pro bono contributions of an individual lawyer, corporate legal department or law firm to the nonprofit community and community economic development sector in Georgia. Kilpatrick Townsend was recognized for the firm’s extensive services to community-based organizations through the Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta.

Kilpatrick Townsend Partner Henry Walker was awarded the Ross Adams Award. The Ross Adams Award is named for the late Young Lawyers Division President Ross Adams. This award is given for dedication, commitment and support of the State Bar of Georgia Young Lawyers Division. Mr. Walker served as the State Bar of Georgia Young Lawyer Division President from 1996 – 1997.
