NEW YORK (April 2) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today the addition of John Bricker to the firm’s New York office. Mr. Bricker joins Kilpatrick Townsend as Counsel from Crowell & Moring. He will be a member of the firm’s renowned Real Estate Finance and Capital Markets Team.

John’s diverse background is a perfect complement to both the Capital Markets Team in New York and with the Team firmwide.”

Mr. Bricker’s practice includes the representation of special servicers on forbearance agreements, loan extensions, loan sales, workouts and restructurings of securitized commercial mortgage loans and providing advice on various pooling and servicing agreement issues. He has experience working with public REITs on the purchase and sale of B notes, C notes, participation interests, senior loan and mezzanine loan interests.

Mr. Bricker has represented hedge funds on the purchase and sale of whole loans and various ownership interests in commercial mortgage loans and borrowers on refinancings of commercial mortgage loans. He has a strong background of assisting institutional lenders on the origination of fixed and floating rate mortgage loans secured by hotel, retail, office, industrial, multifamily and mobile home parks, including participation interests, senior and subordinate notes, mezzanine loans, intercreditor agreements, co-lender agreements and mortgage loan purchase agreements.

Mr. Bricker is a frequent speaker at high-profile industry events. He graduated, cum laude, with a B.S. degree in accounting from Manhattan College. Mr. Bricker graduated, cum laude, from the from the University of Detroit School of Law where he was a member of the Law Review.
