NEW YORK (June 30) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that Jill K. Tomlinson has joined the firm’s Trademark and Copyright Team. She is an associate in the New York office of the firm’s internationally recognized Intellectual Property Department.

Ms. Tomlinson focuses her practice on domestic and international trademark and copyright matters including trademark clearance, counseling, prosecution and contested proceedings.

She currently serves as Vice-Chair and is also the incoming Chair of the Intellectual Property & Internet Law Committee of the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division. Ms. Tomlinson is also a member of the International Trademark Association (INTA), the New State Bar Association and the New York County Lawyers’ Association.

Ms. Tomlinson was a guest lecturer at New York University’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies’ program, “Dealing with Domain Names.” She also researched and co-authored “Brands of the Silver Screen, Television Screen and the Computer Screen” published by PLI and re-published in publications including The Computer and Internet Lawyer.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Tomlinson work in private practice for a number of years and worked at one of the world’s largest consumer goods companies. She also served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Laura Taylor Swain in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Ms. Tomlinson earned her J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law with a concentration in intellectual property law. She earned her B.A. in economics and classical studies from Gettysburg College.
