New York/ San Francisco (April 19) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that partners Steve Feingold and Anthony Malutta will be featured speakers at the American Conference Institute’s Advanced IP Forum for Advertising Counsel. The conference will be held April 27 – 28 in New York and brings together high-profile legal, advertising, and marketing practitioners from across the country.

Mr. Feingold will be a featured panelist in a session regarding “Combating Widespread IP Infringement Abuse on the Internet.” Mr. Malutta will be a featured speaker in a program that addresses “Sidestepping Copyright Landmines: What the DMCA, Hulu and YouTube Mean to Brand Media Strategies.”

Mr. Feingold focuses his practice on trademark, copyright, advertising and Internet law. Trained as a litigator, he currently divides his time between litigation and transactional projects advising clients with their most complicated trademark, copyright and Internet issues. Mr. Feingold is also the developer of the Namealizer domain name analysis tool. This important new online tool helps trademark owners quickly distinguish between those instances of cybersquatting which cause true injury to the brand from those situations where the domain name is either dormant or receiving so little traffic that no action is necessary. Intellectual Property Magazine recognized the Namealizer as the Runner-Up for the Domain Name Strategy of the Year Award for 2010.

Mr. Malutta is co-leader of Kilpatrick Townsend’s Trademark & Copyright Practice Team and resides in the firm’s San Francisco office. His practice focuses on providing comprehensive counsel on the acquisition, use and enforcement of rights under U.S. and international trademark and copyright laws. He is also an experienced intellectual property litigator, having successfully defended Visa in actions brought by Perfect 10 alleging complex secondary copyright liability theories and violations of the DMCA.
