Served as national counsel (through local counsel) for First Carolina State Bank in shareholder action pending in West Virginia alleging that the bank violated the West Virginia Uniform Securities Act, violated the rules and regulations of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and of the North Carolina Commission of Banks, and was otherwise negligent in its operations. The defense obtained dismissal of the complaint on venue and jurisdiction grounds, and the action was not re-filed in North Carolina. Wright v. First Carolina State Bank, No. 1:11-00718, 2012 WL 4076509 (S.D.W. Va. Sept. 17, 2012).
