Lead counsel in a nationwide class action alleging negligent and willful violations of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. We vigorously defended the case, including initial constitutional challenges to the underlying statute. After substantial discovery, we moved for summary judgment and Plaintiff moved for class certification—both motions were briefed in their entirety. While those motions were pending, the case settled on a class-wide basis. The Court subsequently approved the settlement, which was not subject to any appeals. King v. General Information Services, Inc., in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Civil Action No. 2:10-cv-06850-PBT.
