Working primarily with local legal aid organizations and bar associations, our attorneys address the root causes and effects of poverty by representing tenants who are facing eviction or dangerously poor housing conditions; advising debtors in bankruptcy reaffirmation negotiations and related matters; representing consumers sued (or pursued) unlawfully for debts; advocating for individuals who have not been paid for their work; reducing barriers to employment through expungement of criminal records; and advising veterans and others on access to disability and other benefits.
