Victor Pate is a registered patent attorney who focuses his practice on procuring patent rights in the United States and internationally across a broad variety of technical fields, including computer hardware and software, wireless communications, e-commerce, operating systems, user interfaces, Internet applications, and mechanical systems and devices.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Pate worked as an associate in the Atlanta office of a boutique Intellectual Property law firm where he gained experience in patent acquisition for computer hardware and software, electronics, telecommunications, imaging systems, and business method inventions. Mr. Pate's experience involves preparation and prosecution of patent applications, including amendments, appeals, petitions, preparation of non-infringement, invalidity and product clearance opinions, and due diligence investigations.

While attending law school, Mr. Pate was Patent Counsel in the TI:GER (Technical Innovation: Generating Economic Results) Program, a joint Georgia Tech/Emory Law entrepreneurial program connecting Law, M.B.A., and Ph.D. students to commercialize new technologies. Before and during law school, Mr. Pate worked as a network design and cybersecurity architect for a variety of Fortune 50 companies, including IBM, UUNet/Verizon, and Raytheon.
