Julie Grundman is a Senior Associate on the Global Sourcing and Technology team and focuses her practice on cybersecurity and data privacy. Ms. Grundman advises clients on a wide range of cybersecurity and privacy matters to include cybersecurity risk management and governance, data breach response, and compliance with cybersecurity and privacy laws and regulations.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Grundman held cybersecurity leadership positions in the private and nonprofit sectors, most recently at IronNet Cybersecurity, Inc., a cybersecurity technology startup. At IronNet, Ms. Grundman performed strategic business development, provided cybersecurity consulting services, and managed customer engagements. Before that, Ms. Grundman served as Vice President for Policy at Business Executives for National Security (BENS), a national, nonprofit organization of senior executives who apply best business practice solutions to national security challenges. Ms. Grundman oversaw the cybersecurity and emerging threat portfolios, working closely with government partners including Department of Homeland Security, the White House, Office of the National Counterintelligence Executive, U.S. European Command, and the Department of Energy. At BENS, Ms. Grundman also managed an initiative to assist boards and CEOs with ascertaining cybersecurity risk to their own companies and devising plans to mitigate and manage cybersecurity risk.
Previously, Ms. Grundman was an associate in the Corporate Department of an international law firm in its New York City office where she represented issuers, investment banks, and investors in financing transactions, including public offerings and private placements of equity and debt securities. Before that, Ms. Grundman was an associate in the Business Law Department of an international law firm in its Boston, Massachusetts office where she focused her practice on corporate governance, securities offerings, securities law compliance for public companies, merger and acquisitions, and general corporate matters.
