Overview

Landin Boring focuses his practice on patent acquisition and counseling in the Chemical & Life Sciences industry area. He prosecutes patents for clients in the U.S. and abroad, and provides patentability, patent validity, infringement, and freedom-to-operate counseling to assist clients in business planning.

Dr. Boring has experience in a number of technical and legal areas, including molecular biology, immunology, diagnostics, microarrays, biomarkers, and medical devices.  Most recently he worked as an associate with a Seattle-based IP firm.

Prior to practicing law, Dr. Boring was a post-doctoral fellow with Bristol-Myers Squibb Pharmaceutical Research Institute in Seattle, a staff research investigator with the Gladstone Institutes in San Francisco, and a molecular biology group leader at Xenogen Biosciences in Cranbury, New Jersey.

Dr. Boring was recognized as a 2014 Northern California "Rising Star" in the area of Intellectual Property by Super Lawyers magazine. He was also selected as a 2010 Washington "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers magazine.
