DALLAS (March 2) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today the addition of Joshua Benson to the firm’s Dallas office. Mr. Benson joins the firm as an associate on the Global Sourcing & Technology Team in the firm’s Corporate, Finance & Real Estate Department.
Mr. Benson focuses his practice on outsourcing agreements, technology licensing, and commercial agreements. He has experience representing public and private companies in various industries including healthcare, telecommunications networks, real estate, hospitality, energy, and business services.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Benson worked as a corporate associate in the Dallas, Texas office of an Am Law 100 firm where he practiced in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, securities law, private equity, and general corporate law.
Mr. Benson earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School, where he was a member of the Harvard Journal of Law and Technology. While attending law school, he served in internships in the Economic Crimes Division of the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts and at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles in California. He also taught an intensive negotiation workshop to law and business graduate students at the National University of Malaysia and worked with the British Columbia Ministry of Justice to conceptualize the world’s first online Civil Resolution Tribunal for small claims and strata property disputes. Mr. Benson received his B.A. in Finance from Cedarville University, summa cum laude.
